RIO DE JANEIRO
Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Situated between mountains and the sea with curving bays and iconic beaches such as Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. Rio is also a colorful city famous for Samba and Bossa Nova, and of course, Carnaval. As well as its famous sights, such as the top of Corcovado, the Statue of Christ, or Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio offers a variety of activities and sports, Brazilian and International restaurants, amazing hotels, and a rich nightlife. And all of this in a tropical climate throughout the year!

FLORIANÓPOLIS
Florianópolis, or simply “Floripa”, is rapidly becoming the hot spot destination for travellers. “Floripa” is a combination of all the best to be found in Brazil – safe, clean, and modern, yet preserving areas that are rustic and charming. You’ll find Florianópolis stunningly beautiful by day, and exciting and lively by night. You can be sure that friendly people will help you and your family feel welcome in this paradise destination. Known also as the “Magic Island”, Florianópolis is located in southern Brazil.  There are 42 astonishing beaches that attract all types of tourists, from surfers to jet setters. The breathtaking settings of many of these beaches are ideal starting points for exploring the fascinating sights and sounds along the southern coast of Brazil. Yet the beaches only tell part of the story of all there is to see and do in Florianópolis. This is the perfect family destination!

Day 1 | Rio de Janeiro
Upon arrival, greeting at the Rio de Janeiro International Airport and private transfer to the 4-star Porto Bay International Hotel.  Remainder of the day at leisure.

Afternoon tour to Corcovado, where you will see the statue “Christ the Redeemer” up close. Great views of Rio de Janeiro Bay and the Maracanã Stadium.

Evening "Rio by night" dinner and show. Hotel: Porto Bay International Hotel.

Day 2 | Rio de Janeiro
Visit Sugar Loaf Mountain for an amazing view of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara Bay. Continue to the Maracanã Soccer Stadium, an international symbol of soccer and the largest stadium in the world.

Day 3 | Rio de Janeiro

Day 4 | Rio de Janeiro to Florianopolis
Morning transfer to the Rio airport where you will board the flight to to Florianopolis.  On arrival at Florianópolis airport, transfer to the 5-star Il Campanário Villagio Resort.  Remainder of the day at leisure. Hotel: Il Campanário Villagio Resort. (B)

Day 5 | Florianopolis
After breakfast, embark on a city tour of beautiful Florianapolis. Start downtown with a visit to the Cruz & Souza Palace, Civic Center, Old Customs House, Metropolitan Cathedral, XV of November Square, and scenic Hercílio Luz Bridge.  Continue to the East side of the Island where you will see Sete Voltas Hill, Island East scenic lookout, the beautiful and famous Conceição Lagoon and the incredible dunes of Joaquina Beach, where you will stop for lunch (not included) and a swim in the ocean. Before returning to your hotel, visit Mole and Barra da Lagoa Beaches.  Remainder of the day at leisure. Hotel: Il Campanário Villagio Resort. (B)

Day 6 | Florianopolis
This fun trip is a highlight for families. Morning pick-up and transfer to the location where you will learn how to drive an all-terrain vehicle. Starting on flat land, you slowly learn to maneuver the curves and hills of a 2.5km training circuit. After the training, you can take your ATV onto the sand dunes between Ingleses Beach and Costão do Santinho Beach where you can also see some ancient rock inscriptions or go for a dip in the sea.  Return to the hotel.  Afternoon at leisure. Day 7 | Florianopolis
Today, visit Beto Carrero World, the largest theme park in Latin America. There are shows, an amusement park with the largest roller coaster in Latin America, a zoo, and many other attractions.  This is a whole day of leisure and entertainment that the whole family will enjoy. Day 8 | Florianopolis

Pérolas da Lagoa
Visit the most enchanting places of the Conceição Lagoon. First stop at Morro dos Macacos (Monkey Hill), where we can observe the amazing array of plant life, birds and with some luck, even monkeys.  After a walk or a swim at Saquinho-beach, enjoy a caipirinha, the refreshing national cocktail of Brazil. Continue to the village of Costa da Lagoa which can only be reached by boat or on foot.  Here we will visit the lookout with its stunning view of the lagoon and the ocean. On the way back you can enjoy another swim at the waterfall. Return to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Hotel: Il Campanário Villagio Resort. (B)

Day 9 | Florianopolis - Bombas - Laranjeiras & Balnearario Camboriu
After breakfast, depart the hotel for a tour that will take you to Porto Belo, Bombas Beach, Bombinhas and Quatro Ilhas.  Bombinhas is well known for its crystal-clear water. Laranjeiras Beach: this beach is located 3 miles from Camboriú in a bay that has the calmest water of the region. The stunning cable car ride from Barra Sul Station to Laranjeiras Station will take your breath away. At Laranjeiras Beach, you will have time for a swim.  At Camboriú you will visit the main tourist attractions of the city. Hotel: Il Campanário Villagio Resort. (B)

Day 10 | Florianapolis

Day 11 | Florianapolis to Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio. Connect to your international flight back to North America.
